BouMatic Gascoigne offer a wide range of vacuum pumps to suit different sizes and requirements of machines. All BGM vacuum pumps are manufactured and tested to the highest standards and both oil-vaned and lobe pumps are available. Nowadays, energy efficiency is a big factor in agriculture and, therefore, variable speed vacuum pumps are a popular choice on BGM milking parlours.

In the Bou-Vac oil-vaned range of vacuum pumps, BGM offer vacuum pumps that produce from 1500 litres per minute up to 3800 litre per minute. Tested to ensure a long life span, all these pumps come complete with base plate, guards, oil separator, non-return valve and silencer. Self-oil lubrication is standard.

Variable Speed Drive

A Variable Speed Drive can be fitted to the vacuum pumps. VSD alters the frequency of the motor so that the vacuum pump only produces enough vacuum for the units that are in operation. VSD can save up to two thirds on the vacuum pumps running costs.

Maximum savings can be made when the VSD is connected to the Air Star Dry Vacuum Pump.

The Air Star is the ultimate in vacuum pump technology and typifies BouMatic’s high quality approach to milking. Being an oil-free vacuum pump results in numerous advantages such as being environmentally friendly, clean, cost saving and quiet.

The Air Star is a true variable speed vacuum pump and saves on average at least 50% of electricity costs over standard vacuum pumps.

The Air Star comes in a range of different sizes with on pump being able to create enough vacuum for a 60 unit rotary.

The Air Star vacuum pump is a popular choice on BGM milking parlour as they offer many benefits to the end user such as;

  • True Variable Speed: Unlike traditional oil-vaned vacuum pumps, the air star creates vacuum immediately as the lobes begin to rotate. This means that the air star can create vacuum for any number of units during the milking process. Oil-vaned pumps require a certain speed before vacuum is created meaning they cannot slow completely down like the Air Star.
  • Oil Free: The Air Star is a lobe pump and the lobes do not touch anything meaning there is no oil needed to prevent wear. No oil means no mess and less costs. The Air Star is a dry pump and therefore there is no burning of oil which helps the environment as only warm air is exhausted.
  • Quiet: The air star is quieter than traditional oil-vaned pumps despite it producing more litres of vacuum.
  • One Pump: 1 Air Star can create a vacuum for a large amount of units which means there is only need for one vacuum pump, resulting in considerable savings on energy costs.
  • Power: Can run on 3-Phase or Single Phase
  • Components: All components in the Air Star are made of high quality with long lifespan. The main drive belts have a 40,000 hour lifespan.
  • Maintenance Free: As high quality parts are used and there is no need for oil, the Air Star is a maintenance free vacuum pump for the operator outside of routine servicing.
